Riley DeSmit

FCA Lacrosse Georgia | Johns Hopkins University ’17

Riley joined the FCA Lacrosse family in 2017 after serving as a coach, huddle leader, and Summer Staff with FCA Lacrosse from 2015-2017.  A Baltimore, MD native and graduate from Gilman School in 2013, he was a captain of the Soccer, Basketball, and Lacrosse teams earning a MIAA Championship in all three over his high school career. Then going on to attended Johns Hopkins University for four years coming in as an offensive midfielder and leaving as a defenseman, playing every position in between (except goalie). At Johns Hopkins, Riley won the inaugural Big 10 Championship and reached the NCAA semifinals in his sophomore year. Riley graduated from Johns Hopkins with a Degree in Economics and minors in both Marketing & Management and Entrepreneurship & Management in the spring of 2017. Riley took over as FCA Lacrosse Georgia Director in the fall of 2018 out of Atlanta, GA.

Riley has a passion for combining the three things he is passionate about, his faith, fellowship and the sport of lacrosse and use it as a platform to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to both athletes and coaches.

Riley and his wife Stephanie currently reside in Marietta, GA.

Sports Focus

Through stations and small group work, our coaching staff will concentrate on a detailed progression of drills with the goal of improving each player’s skills, no matter what their experience. Additionally, staff will provide campers with strategies that can be implemented for ongoing skill improvement.

Faith Focus

Every athlete will be provided the opportunity to explore or grow in their Christian faith. Our camp guest speakers and small group Bible studies will focus on humility, truth and faith.

FCA T-shirt, FCA Bible, professional-level sports instruction, and an unforgettable experience for each athlete.
